What have I in my innocence forgotten?
Did I do something so evil, so vile and so rotten?
I try to remember, but still have no clue.
How by being born did I injure you?
A hundred times my debt must have been repaid.
By the damaged adult you have grown and made,
Who you have hurt and beaten again and again.
Yet I am sure I deserved it, my punishement of pain.
