Review :- Amisha Patel’s FirePlace Restaurant
I
am happy to report to
AmishaPage
that I've had dinner at the Amisha's
restaurant fireplace Andheri and lunch at the Bandra fireplace branch.
A small restaurant with cheery orange flooring, laminated table-tops,
black wrought iron chairs and a fireplace painted on a wall. Some outside
seating too.
Service Behind the whole project is Kamal Khera who brings 23 years of
experience in the Taj to Fireplace. He is partner with Amisha Patel and
Bharati Morarka and makes sure that the service and the food are of a
consistent standard.
Food Once again Kamal Khera ensures the best ingredients and
standardization of the menu and his kitchen has no star chefs but
authentic cooks that he has sourced from North India. The kababs are
pre-plated and presented in a contemporary manner.
+ PLUS POINTS
* Go for the kababs! Especially the unusual and luscious dahi kabab (Rs
90). Ask for the toothless nawab's delight, the melt-in-the-mouth Galawati
kabab (Rs 120 ) and the kakori kabab (Rs 120). The veggies should try the
achari paneer tikka (Rs 95) for its soft yet tangy experience. The dal
makhani (Rs 70) makes a delicious creamy tango with the crisp tandoori
roti (Rs 12).
Ask for the crisp kurkuri bhindi (Rs 75) and if you are adventurous, the
keema karela (Rs 125). Go for the authentic Punjabi phirni here.
* There is value-for-money fare here, especially in the Andheri eatery.
The prices given above are all from there. The Bandra branch has pegged
them 10 to 15 per cent higher.
- MINUS POINTS
* The tables are bunched too close to each other and the noise levels can
get too high too. Somehow, I found the wrought iron chairs a bit too
uncomfy and not ones which encourage lingering on.
MY POINTS
* I would certainly go back for the succulent kababs, especially the dahi
kabab, the kakori and the galawati.
* It's also a good value, quick in and quick-out place, when one is
looking for reliable kababs.
* It's sweet, pleasant, comfy and clean and I will definitely come
back."
