A dream debut in Rakesh Roshan's blockbuster Kaho Na Pyar Hai, followed by the super success of Gadar and Amisha Patel was in the reckoning for the No 1 slot in Bollywood. But this was followed by back to back failures of Zindagi Ka Safar, Kranti and Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage.

Amisha's next film Humraaz is a crucial release for the actress.

"If this film does not work, I'll lose my faith in my sense of cinema because its really something different. The story is something no one has seen. I have tried my level best. There are shades of negative in my character. I have worked very hard to convince myself that I can do this," said Amisha Patel.

Actors in tinsel town live from Friday to Friday. From being the most sought after actress, she slid down the ladder of success. Trade analysts however feel that there is a lot more to the actress then what she has delivered so far.

"Humraaz looks like a very fresh film. It is being directed by Abbas-Mustan and the story is keeping Amisha Patel in mind. That is where Amisha Patel has scope to perform as an actress, look glamorous and what else could you ask for. If this film clicks, Amisha Patel is back in the reckoning. She has the talent, she has the looks, it is just a mater of a hit," said trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
