With Kya
Yahi Pyar Hai slated for release on March 22, Amisha Patel and
Aftaab Shivdasani held a press conference for their latest film in
Mumbai.
Though Aftaab is playing a lover boy yet again in the film, the
actor claims that this is his last and best chocolate-boy role for
a long time to come. "This film has given me everything that
I needed to establish myself and better than that it has given me
an opportunity to convey a very important message to the audience.
My films after this are action, comedy and other genres,"
said actor Aftaab Shivdasani.
Amisha Patel plays a no-nonsense career girl in the film and for
Amisha, working with her South Mumbai childhood acquaintance is a
unique experience in itself. "Aftaab is like my baby brother.
He has been a friend of the family for so long that I felt like I
was working with my kid brother, who I had to cajole and coax on
the sets," said actress Amisha Patel.
Despite his last film, Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche not faring
well at the box-office, director K Murli Mohan Rao has his hopes
pinned on Kya Yahi Pyar Hai, which is a remake of a South
Indian film.
With Aftaab not having any major hit at the box-office and
Amisha's last film failing at the ticket window, the producers are
planning a 13 city tour with the actors to promote the film before
its release and they would be hoping that this media blitz planned
for the film will get in the initial audiences.
