The Facts with the numbers collected

Based in the analysis made, in both cases World Championship or European Championship the trend is negative. Based in this trend ,the future is not positive. We need to do something. It is time to start to present new solutions and proposals to increase this numbers. We understand that there are several number of ideas to increase the participation of teams. Our proposal is to change the Team selection process in these competitions. To use a selection process not by Quantity of teams by country but, by a performed time in 100 laps.

For example :

- To participate in this E.Ch or in W.Ch is enough in the previous year to make at least twice, a time below or equal to 3:25.00 for 100 laps ( results achieved in official competitions " national or World Cup competitions " )

Advantages :

- This way we can increase the number of participants.

- This way we can improve the level of the competitions by allowing that only teams with same experience can be present in these events

- To allow Teams with good level, can be present in this competitions. Because there are countries that have many good teams, but they can not be present do to the limit number of participacions by country.

- To have a similar selection process ( competitors selection process ) used as it is used for other sports ( ex: Olympic games ).

- This way, the organizations and local commercial activities can have more money involved.

- More competitors bring more spectators and, more spectators bring more money to the organizations.

- More spectators bring more publicity, and consequently a better future for this sport.

Technical issues :

- For the election of the best country in one competition only the best three teams of each country can be used for the final calculation.

- In each country the sponsoring process belong to each country to decide what to do in this situation regarding the limit number of involved teams participating in this events.

Conclusion :

These idea can be developed to improve the future of this sport. Not only for this Class F2C but also for F2B and F2A. We hope that these as well as many others ideas, can be used in the next CIAM meetings be evaluated improved and why not implemented.
