INTENSIFIERS
Intensifiers are words that make adjectives and adverbs stronger. Let me give an example. Imagine a person uses the adjective cool to describe a car, as in: That car is cool that same person migth strengthen or enforce the meaning of cool by using an intensifiers, as in: that car is so cool.

Very | �Indicates a greater intensity of the adjective o r the adverb to wich it accompanies �Is used when the meaning of the sentence is positive or neutral | -I�m a very busy person(soy una persona muy ocupada) -It�s a very boring movie(es una pelicula muy aburrida) -She�s a very influent woman(ella es una mujer muy influente) |
Pretty | �It is used in informal contexts. It is not used in negative phrases. �When modifying a noun preceded by an adjective, the article is placed before pretty | -It�s been a pretty hectic week(ha sido una semana bastante motivida) -I�m pretty certain(estoy bastante vansado) -That�s a pretty difficult task for something so fragile(es una tarea bastante dificl para algo tan fragil) |
So | �The particle "so" is used when the previous stantenient is an affirmative sentente �We use "so" with adjectives or adverbs to show extreme feeling or effects �The adjective or adverb goes directly after "so" in the sentence" | -The dog was so happy that it started tp jump (el perro estaba demasiado feliz que comenzo a saltar) -The day was so wet that I couldn�t go to work (el dia que estaba demasiado humedo no podia ir a trabajar) -She was o heavy that she broke a metal chair (estaba tan pesada que rompio una silla de metal) |
