Medieval wall paintings discovered during 19th century restoration:

Date circa 5th/6th century, this stone is inscribed SELUS IC IACIT ("Selus lies here). The word "PRESBYTER" on the botton of the shaft was recorded at the time of its discovery in 1834:

The Cross on another side of this stone has been described as "an early form of the "Chi-Ro" cross, but may more properly indicate a bishop's staff:
