ST. HELEN'S ORATORY
This lies in a field to the right of the road, in the lee of the Cape. This 2001 photo shows some reconstruction undertaken by the National Trust since acquiring the site from the Payne family. The late Donald Payne is buried just beyond the chapel:

An original gable end "Chi-Ro" cross recorded by J.T.Blight in 1861 (A Week at The Land's End) has been lost since a former vicar of St. Just threw it down a well:
