Wobbly view with person (Tony Potter) and site of supposed tomb of King Arthur (1960) The Abbey fish pond. This ephemeral picture was taken during a period in the 1980s when public access was being made available by the destruction of a copse, through which a path (often muddy) could be followed. The copse is long gone, and the modern pond looks more like a boating lake This card assumed (as did many people at the time) that the image was of the Loretto Chapel, the foundations of which were later discoverd close by.
