A short review of works devoted to the theoretical and experimental study into multiphoton vibrational excitation of molecules by powerful IR laser radiation is presented. A method is stated based on employement of integral transformation and of orthogonal polynomials. This method allows one to obtain exact analitical solutions describing the dynamics of multilevel systems being the comparatively simple molecular models. The examples of solutions for quantum systems with equidistant and non-equidistant energy levels, with different dependences of dipole transitions moments on energy under the conditions of resonance and nonresonance laser excitation are given. The other problems of spectroscopy, optics, laser physics are enumerated which can be solved by the analytical method under consideration.
