Multifrequency dynamics of multilevel systems with regard for non-neighboring transitions

Analytic method to obtain solutions of Schrodinger equations for a number of multilevel systems with neighboring and non-neighboring dipole transitions is formulated. It is shown that the orthogonal polynomials may be used to construct exact analytic solutions. The excitation dynamics of the system of four non-equidistant levels is analyzed in detail.
