Excitation dynamics of a three-level quantum system with non-neighbouring transition in a multifrequency field

An analytic solution of the Schrodinger equation for three-level systems with neighbouring and non-neighbouring dipole transitions in a multifrequency laser field is found. It is shown that taking into account both neighbouring and non-neighbouring transitions and using a multifrequency excitation allow more effectively to control the dynamics of the system.
