My Thunderhawk

By Peter Barnard

Being quite bored, and with plenty of cardboard and polystyrene on my hands I neede a modelling project.

I've made Rhinos, Land Raiders and Dreadnaughts, as well as 1:100 scale Brazillian armoured cars, and smaller scale space craft, but I wanted something big.

Appalled y a friends Eldar Titan (in 40K scale), I wanted to outdo him. A titan was out of my league, and I dont have the room, So I deceided to make a Thunderhawk.

Using Google, I tracked down lots of people who had made their own, and they all looked pretty nifty. Using details from the official model, some graph paper, and patience, I set out.

Althogh there was a plan, there was a lot of last minute changes, and I couldn't explain the process if I wanted. But this started off as a polystyrene base shape, modified by cardboard, wire mesh, and some left overs fro actual GW kits.

So just enjoy.

Side view. Notice the battle damage Front view. The wind screen is gloss arnished for a shine. Notice the holes for the rockets on the wings The other side. It really is huge

As a bonus, here are some pics of my Defiler, also built with card and bits and bobs!

Right side. Showing Reaper Autocannon Left side. Front. Im particularly pleased with the quad mounted eyes
