Everything
started in the April of 2001 when my music tastes started to shift more towards
extreme death metal and grindcore. I started to spend my money more and more
into music, sometimes staying up late, in front of my screen, to find something
good to order. Then I started buying and trading some real underground stuff,
mostly diy tapes and demos. I found out that I can distribute these stuff here
and trade some more stuff. I started buying and trading more and more, finding
out that I'm beginning to have some stuff to start and run a small diy distro.
I decided on the name "Assaulting Murder Association" which is then shortened
into simply AMA. I was a bit gore freaked those days. Anyway, the first days
were boring. Not much went on expect a few small orders from the local fans
who are later to be involved in serious hardcore & grindcore projects. At that
time I also started a band called Rott-Fish with my all time best buddy Can
who is the best man ever if you are gonna play something noisy and extreme.
We started as a lame noisecore band pretty much in the vein of anal cunt and
meatshits and stuff like that. Then we evolved and started to record some real
stuff. Up to date, there are 3 recordings of RxF, but the first one is a promo
tape, therefore it's not released from AMA. Nowadays it's pretty enjoyable this
distro business. I'm getting more support from people and that makes me happy
and confident in running this distro and label as long as it keeps my interest
in. Well I guess that was all, I'm still pretty ambitious and enthusiastic about
getting on with the stuff and every week the list is updating, so I think everything
is just fine, for now at least....
