SPEARHEADING the first ever Inter
School Science Quiz Contest (ISSQC), the College of Science Student Council gathered 6 Metro Manila
schools at the UST High School Auditorium, Feb.
4. ISSQC
was adapted after the Bio-Quiz Bee where the UST Biology students compete every
year. However, the CSSC-organized contest was
open to all Science students of participating
schools.
University of
the Philippines-Manila bagged the title as the
first Inter-school Science Quiz Contest champion.
Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) placed second
while Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM)
landed third. Other schools who participated were
De La Salle University (DLSU), College of the
Holy Spirit, and University of the East (UE).
Participants were given certificates. Winners
received medals and trophies courtesy of the
CSSC.
Dean Gloria de Castro-Bernas was Chair of the Board
of Judges of the said contest.
