in Spanish Declamation Contest Michelle Ann Velasco

ANOTHER VICTORY for the College of
Science as its representative, Arriosto Rivera of
B3 Biology, garnered second place
in the Spanish Declamation Contest held at the
Education Auditorium last Feb. 6. Rivera was
coached by Mrs. Caridad Sevilla of the Dept. of Languages with his winning piece,
"La Cancion del Pirata" or "The
Song of the Pirate". The Spanish declamation contest is
an annual university-wide competition sponsored
by the Dept. of Languages of the different
colleges. The contest was participated by eight
colleges with representatives from AB and
Commerce taking first and third places,
respectively.
