Epidemic parotitis (mumps)

Selection of points: Antitragic Apex, Cheek, Subcortex and Brain. Apply strong stimulation with a filiform needle. Treat once or twice daily. Three days constitute a treatment course. Scorching moxibustion with oily herbal lampwick also can be applied on Ear Apex or between Small Intestine and Kidney. Moxibustion can be applied on the affected side for swelling of one side, or bilaterally for mumps of both sides. Moxibustion is given once a day until swelling subsides
