Brittain, William E. (Bill) (1930- )Bill Brittain was born in Rochester New York. He was in the shadow of his athletic older brother, so he read many books and spent time using his imagination. He started as a 5th grade teacher, but later became a middle school teacher. Since teachers don't make a great deal of money, he decided to try writing.
