Billie Joe was born on February 17th 1972. His father was a
jazz musician as well as truck driver and his mother was a waitress at Rod's Hickory
Pit, the place where Green Day (then known as "Sweet Children") got their first gig.
Before his dad died at the age of 10, he received his first guitar that was later named
"Blue" (which is now officially retired). He met Mike in their school cafeteria at
14 and discussed music and later decided to start a band. Billie Joe currently has two
kids, Joey and Jacob, and a wife, Adrienne.
