It was in July of 1988 that the Knights of the Altar program was created by Father Stephen Kealy and Sgk. Lloyd Ligayo. Starting out with only 12 servers, this program was established to teach the important points of leadership, fellowship, honor, responsibility, loyalty, and discipline. Over fifteen years later the Knights of the Altar has evolved into a Youth Ministry. With over 60 servers, we are not only serving God by being servers, but also as choir members, ushers, lectors, and just recently eucharistic ministers. The young men and women of KOA are always busy. If not in the mass serving God, raising money with our next BBQ sale or planning to go out for Movie Night. We have truly become a family with one another through Christ.
