My Point of View

*My Point of View*
I'm different,
I've always known that,
Different from those here,
That I've grown up with.

That's why they do not accept me,
Why they don't reach out to me,
Only because I am not exactly like them.
At least from my point of view.

Just once,
Is all I ask,
Sit and talk to me,
Get to know me,
Try it, just one,
Please do not turn me away so quickly,
I would not you.

You have know me forever,
As I have you,
But we know little about one another,
It seems as though we'll always be that way,
Shut out from one another.

Locked,
Key buried,
Unwilling to open,
Unwilling to try.

Just look at me once,
Straight in my face,
I do not beg,
I will not plead,
I just sometimes want to cry.

Everywhere,
I can be me,
Everywhere else,
I feel free.

But here I am unknown,
And only seen.
Unaccepted for what I am,
For just being me.

Now I will close,
This is just to hopefully let you know,
How I see things,
From my point of view...
