As any other day might
The hustle and bustle
Of commerace
Of business.

All while I slept.

At 8:56 am
I awoke-
My love pounding
At my door
Matt wanted to go to breakfast.

I got ready
He watched
And spoke of the news,
The Twin Towers,
  In Manhattan
Had been bombed.

I went
What the fuck?

We left
Going for waffles
[god bless waffle house]
And Howard Stern
Informed us...
All about the crash
In the 5 sided building
[aka the pentagon]

Then
not too much later,
The towers fell.

Creating terror
Reaking havoc
Death. Chaos. Destruction.

All on 9.11.01
[does anyone else see the numbers?]
Terrorism struck home
Our innocence lost..
No longer invinicble.
Forever changed.

But
God help us
We have united.

But please Lord
Restore SOME sense
Of peace
For my children.

And never...
  Never...
    Ever...
Forget...
