SERVICE

Alpha Iota Beta is a chapter of Service because of its commitment to Phi Theta Kappa’s International Service Program for 2002-04, Conquering Cancer: A Prevention and Awareness Program with the American Cancer Society. The Service Program provides many opportunities for members to make a real difference in the Metro Richmond area. During the fall semester kick-off, a Derma Scan was used for early detection of sun damage and samples of sunscreen were distributed to students, faculty and staff. In October, our chapter organized an Arts and Craft fair as a fundraiser for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer; we also recruited a team of 65 walkers college-wide.
