Sheer and Lace Information

A sheer curtain is a transparent plain fabric usually made from polyester. A sheer has other names: voile, muslin, organza voile and snow voile. Sheers also come different finishes: crushed, stripe, patterned, mutli coloured and cornelli. Cornelli has an embroidered pattern on it usually about 20 cms up from the base. Sheers traditional came in white and ivory. New colours are being introduced to the industry regularly now.

A lace curtain is a knitted semi transparent fabic usually made from polyester. Lace curtain fabric can come in various weights: fine to heavy. The best is always the Jacquard lace. Lace designs vary but generally are floral patterned. Lace comes in colours: White, Ivory, Cream and Ecru, Ecru being a rich cream.
