Royal Suites at
Grand Palladium Palace
Jan/Feb 2006
The Royal Suites is a quiet adult only section of the Palladium complex with it's only A/C lobby, pool and bars. The only thing missing for us was it's only restaurant.
The layout of the Royal Suites was very nice. There were 3 main buildings in a 'U' shape with the lobby in the front building and the pool/bar in the middle of the 'U'. The open end of the 'U' was right on the beach
The pool had built-in loungers but they really were hard to sit on - you kept sliding forward! The pool was a nice size with an island and bridges as well as the favorite swim-up bar.  This was the ideal place for relaxing with a good book as there was no loud music or pool games going on. If you wanted those you could head over to one of the other pools with in the complex.
Although the Royal Suites did not have their own restaurants we had full use of all restaurants within the complex. This included unlimited a la Carte bookings at the 6 a la Cartes. 3 were located off the Baravo lobby with a  meeting bar where you could sit and wait for your booking. This was rarely used when we were there though.
The Spanish a la Carte was in this area and was one of our favorites. We ate there 3 times and enjoyed everytime. The other two were the Asian and Tex/Mex.
The Palace buffet was Las Torres where we ate a few times for breakfast and a couple times for dinner. The Gala nights at the buffet were great and therefore very popular. To the side of the buffet was the Italian resraurant, which was our other favorite a la Carte. Food and service here were great.
Our room was in the main building and was an open concept room with the bathroom, bedroom and sitting area all in one. The tub as you can see was open to the whole room.
We really liked the concept of an adult only quiet section and the Royal Suites service was top notch for us!
