ABOUT ME My name is Stephanie and my friends call me Stef. I am a bra consultant, custom bra maker, wife, and full-time mommy. I am also a bra-aholic. Some women become obsessed with quilt-making or blouses or dresses. For me, it was bras. Being very topheavy sort of make this a natural course for me. I drive my husband and friends nuts ranting about how stupid the sizing charts are... I notice women in the mall wearing bras with bands that ride up and cups that bulge and feel the urge to educate them on proper sizing... I hear friends say "I think I wear a B, or is it a D? I don't know." and wonder how they can't know their own size. During college I worked in a lingere store as a Bra Fitter. Ironically, my bust was bigger than anything my employers sold in the store. I bought large bras elsewhere and shortened and modified the straps to fit me. Shortly after I decided to start making my own bras completely from scratch. I didn't have any books on bra making, I just took apart bras and made notes on proportions and construction. I've been making custom bras, swimsuits, and tops for many years now. Starting off I made them for myself and friends, and then for mothers of hard-to-find sizes (small bands and/or large cups), and even some musicians, actresses, and big-bust entertainers.
