ALL SAINTS WRAP UP FOR CHRISTMAS

As the popular drama breaks for holidays, these three stars step out
of their saint-ly hospital gear and into party mode.

There was a flurry of excitement last week as the season of All
Saints came to an end. "The last day feels like the last day of term
at school," grins Natasha Beaumont, who stars as ambulance paramedic
Rebecca Green on the popular Seven Network drama.
Ben Tari, who plays nurse Jared Levine, agrees that's the best way to
describe the feeling, while Conrad Coleby, who plays ambulance
officer Scott Zinenko, simply sighs, "Thank God it's holidays." Then
adds cheekily, "Not that I work to much. I'm pretty lucky, I'm only
on set two days a week."
The trio had an easy day's job when Woman's Day took Natasha, Conrad
and Jared out of their All Saints medical uniforms and wrapped them
in something a little more formal for the festive season. They ended
up looking more like party devils then saints!
Conrad, 23, is a self-confessed party boy and likes getting dressed
up often. "I enjoy wearing a suit." But Ben's a sneakers-and-jeans
man, and Natasha's a "jeans and tiny T-shirts" girl.
Ben's an original cast member of All Saints who has so far missed
only one episode of the 210. He is an old hat at wrapping a season
and is looking forward to summer. "I'm going to go to Melbourne and
spend time with my family. Then my wife and I would like to take a
couple of weeks traveling along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria,
which is just gorgeous."
Multilingual Natasha grew up in Malaysia and would like to get home
to Kuala Lumpur for Christmas, but doesn't think she'll get
there. "But I'm excited as my mum and brother will be out from
Malaysia to visit. It will be great to see them and go to the beach."
Conrad's family, of Swedish origins, lives in Queensland. He hasn't
seen his mum in a year, although he's worked with his father, actor
Robert Coleby. "I've seen dad, he's had a couple of guest roles on
All Saints." Conrad's looking forward to a big Swedish Christmas,
which is traditionally celebrated on Christmas Eve. "I was in Sweden
for it once. The ground was covered thickly in snow and, for advent,
the kids light a candle every night in the window, so the streets are
beautiful candlelit at night. They have a lot of tradition over
there. At home in Queensland, we just have a giant plastic Santa in
the front yard. The Swedes do it more tastefully. And this summer I'm
going to teach mum how to boogie-board!" he adds.
For Natasha, Christmas is all about food. "I love to entertain and I
think I'm a good cook. My signature dish is Malay curry."
Ben lived in Hungary and came to Australia with his family when he
was eight. Christmas to him means, "standing around the tree and
taking snapshots to send home to the relatives in Budapest."
Swapping hospital gear for Christmas dress-ups was good fun, and at
mention of alias, Conrad laughs, "I think my character Scott is meant
to be a bit of a party boy, but he's not as wild as me!" the
difference between him and me is that I party in style."
Ben adds, "my character Jared likes a beer with friends, but he used
to be a bit of a mummy's skirt. I don't think I should answer who
likes to party more, it might incriminate me."
So its sunshine, beach and back to families for the Christmas break.
As for the glitz and glamour, when they're all dressed up, these
saints are party animals in disguise.

You'll notice they called Ben `Jared' in the 3rd paragraph. It's not
my mistake it's the way the article has written it)
