All Saints stars Ling- Hseuh Tang, Belinda Emmett and Libby Tanner agree- their Ward 17 characters have plenty of girl power.

The storylines in All Saints may be very dramatic and, at times, sombre- but that’s not the case behind the scenes, according to three of the leading ladies in the Seven Network medical drama.

Ling- Hseuh Tang, Belinda Emmett and Libby Tanner ay he set is alive with laughter....particularly when the girls get together!

“there’s a lot of giggling when the girls are on the set,” reveals Belinda, whose stint as Ward 17 clerk Jodi Horner ends in Tuesday's episode.

She, Ling (Dr Kylie Preece) and Libby (Bronwyn Craig) believe hat light, family atmosphere is a major reason for the success of the TV WEEK logie winning drama.

The fact that their characters are all strong and independent woman doesn’t hurt, either!

“All Saints has a lot of female characters like that, which I guess is fairly unusual,” Ling says. “We’re very privileged.”

“Its a broad bunch of people to woman on the show,” Belinda adds. “And it really is like one big, happy  family. Actors ay that all the time and don’t really mean it, but everyone looks out for each other on the set. It’s such a great bunch of people to work with.”

Belinda was only schedule to appear in 6 episodes of All Saints earlier this year, but was thrilled when the shows producers asked her to come back for another 6 weeks.

“I enjoyed my time here last time, and I feel like part of the gang,” she says. “I missed everyone when I left, so it was nice to be asked back. The whole cast and crew are lovely, and I know I’m going to miss everyone again.”

“Belinda came on as a guest actor and slotted right into it,” Libby says. “Its hard for a lot of guest actors you don't just come onto the show and feel so at ease, but she fitted right in.”

All Saints may be female focused, but Ling’s character has her work cut out as the only female doctor at All Saints Western general Hospital.
