What is Jared doing selling insurance policies?

He was once one of Ward 17’s most dedicated workers, but  former nurse Jared Levine has moped around the house like a slob in recent weeks.

It has been a month since Jared (Ben Tari) quit his job, when he told Terri Sullivan (Georgie Parker) that resigning was the only thing that would make him happy in life.

Poor Jared is far from joyful now. His housemates dub him a bludger, his former girlfriend Kylie Preece (Ling- Hseuh Tang) was shocked to discover what a couch potato he had become, and he has adopted an unshaven, unkempt look that is a long way from the prim Jared we know.

‘The beard thing happened because I came back from holidays with a bit of facial heair and the producer liked it” Ben says. “I thik its going to stick around for quite a bit. They’re even letting Jared grow his hair!”

But we’ve seen nothing yet. This week in All Saints, Jared turns up at the hospital, suited up and doing his best to sel insurance to his old work mates.

“Its humiliating for him,” Ben says. “He’s gone from a life and death jjob to making people buy what they don’t want.”

Jared’s low point kick starts a new chapter in his life, and viewers will get a whole new take on him in coming weeks.
