Chapter Fourteen:
"Justin, where am I?" Hayleigh asked after she opened her eyes.

"You're in a hospital in Ocean City.  Do you remember what happened?" Justin asked, taking her hand.

"Yeah.  Where's JC?" she asked quickly, panicking.

"He's back in Orlando.  He's gonna stay away from us.  Don't worry about him," Justin said, reassuring her.

"Is she awake yet?" a tired-sounding voice asked from the door.

"Chris!" Hayleigh yelled when she saw who the voice belonged to.

"Oh God, Leigh, thank goodness you're alright!" Chris said, running into the room.  He was followed by Lance and Joey.  They all ran over to the bed and hugged her as best they could.

"Uh, guys, I love you all, you know that, but I kinda can't breath," Leigh said quietly.

"Oops.  Sorry," Joey said, letting go of her.

"It's okay," Leigh replied, looking at her arm, which was in a cast.  "I broke this, didn't I?"

Justin hung his head and muttered, "Yeah."

"Honey, it wasn't your fault, I know you were thinking that but it wasn't.  It'll heal, I'll be fine."

"Yeah.  Hayleigh, I am so sorry about all of this," Justin said, sitting down on the bed next to her.

"It's okay, both of us are fine."  She turned to the rest of the group.  "All of us are fine.  Guys, thank you so much for being here for me."

"We'll always be here for you Leigh," Chris said for the rest of the group.

"Thank you."

"I'm gonna love you right cause all I want is you!" Hayleigh sang.  Her ending brought screams from the crowd.  Hayleigh looked over her adoring audience and smiled.  "Well, that was my first number one hit, a cover of Christina Augilera's Come On Over, and it was also my last song!  Thank you guys so much for letting me sing for you!  Goodnight and God bless!"  With that, she ran off the stage into Justin's arms.  "I cannot believe I just performed a 90 minute set at Madison Square Garden!" she squealed, still full of energy.  "And they liked me!"

"I do.  And it was sold out, might I add," Justin said, kissing the top of her head.

"And it sold out in ten minutes, might I add," Chris said, making his presence known to the couple.

"I know, I know, I cannot believe that this is happening to me!"

"I do.  Leigh, I have always believed in you.  I am soooo proud of you!" Justin said, spinning his fiancee` around in a circle.

"I love you Justin," she murmered into his ear before he let her down.

"I know.  I love you too," he said, kissing her on the nose.  "Let's get to the hotel before your fans get there and clog the entrance."

It was a well-known fact that Justin and Hayleigh were dating.  And it was about to be publicized that they were engaged.  'N Sync broke up after JC left the group, Joey had tried his hand at JC's vocals but he couldn't quite hit the notes without squeaking.  The members of 'N Sync had gone on to other things, Chris was still running his Fu Man Skeeto clothing line, which was the sponsor of Hayleigh's current tour, and which was also the only chothes she ever wore in public (other than formal dresses by Vera Wang).  Lance was managing his own record label, FreeLance Entertainment, which was the label Hayleigh was signed to.  She refused to sign any contracts with Jive or Mercury or any other big label, she was too close to Lance and she and he had complete creative control.  Joey was singing again, he had just finished his solo album and was touring with Hayleigh as her opening act.  The girls still loved him.  His solo debut included a duet with him and Hayleigh, singing an old version of I Want You Back, of all things.  And Justin...  Besides being engaged to Hayleigh, Justin was doing what he had always wanted to, singing and dancing.  He was just beginning to record his solo album.  Joey's solo had a duet of his and Justin's on it, and Justin was planning on putting it on his album also.  Also, he and Leigh had been working on some duets, they were also covering It's Your Love by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, it was going to be one of their wedding songs, the one the bridal party dances to.  Justin was staying away from the wedding plans, he figured that it was Hayleigh's show, let her do it the way she wants to.  But he gave his input from time to time, since she was having a slightly hard time touring and getting her wedding planned.  Their song was going to be Always In My Heart, a song that Justin had sang on MMC.  That was the song that convinced Justin that he was in love with Hayleigh.  Hayleigh had always been in his heart, and she will always be in his heart, from the first second he saw her until the day he died.  As for JC, he went back to Orlando and moved.  No one knew where, he practically dropped off the face of the earth.  Everyone was fine with that.  Espically Justin and Hayleigh, as they started their lives together without any interruptions.  <~=~>
