Is anyone else totally and completely SICK TO DEATH of this stupid Boy Band War?  I know I am.  I like BOTH groups, personally, and since I like both, I am completely capable of making fun of both groups.  For instance, Joey Fatone is a beast and Howie Dorough is a troll.  But hey, it's all good.  Or so it seems.  Currently MTV News caught up with the Backstreet Boys in Albany, NY, at their concert at the Pepsi Arena.  It seems that there are some hard feelings between the two most popular groups on the planet.  Kevin Richardson stated that 'N Sync should, "Get your own identity."  The rest of the BSB expressed hard feelings about their flying stunts on their current tour, insisting that they thought of it first, but 'N Sync initiated it first on their Spring 99 Tour.  I have two words:  Who Cares?  I don't.  Both groups initiated the flying stunts, doing them very well, but I think Backstreet took it to another level.  Just my opinion.  The whole thing with Lou Pearlman "still being the sixth Backstreet Boy."  Brian Littrell puts it simply and just says to the question, asked by John Norris, "False."  I don't blame him, not at all.  And then there's 'N Sync.  Let's not forget about them, heaven forbid we forget about Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez, the famous MMC offspring.  (Speaking of which, what's with all the MMC offspring making albums all of a sudden?  Don't worry, I won't dwell on that subject this time, that's another story, another day...)  'N Sync almost seem like the Good Guys in thie whole crazy thing.  Okay, from what I hear, they got to keep their name in all the legal mumbo-jumbo with Lou Pearlman, which is good, since I'd probably NEVER remember the new one.  Aside from that, they were sued for breach of contract (whatever the hell THAT legally means), for quite a bit of cold hard ca$h.  And they've been in the media so much lately, it seems like the camera's following them around.  Hell, they're on TRL more often these days then Carson Daly (who is a very nice guy and even hotter in person by the way, I met him at TRL in December of 1998).  At the 2000 Grammy Awards, you might or might not recal that 'N Sync was on the Red Carpet acting as interviewers for Rosie O'Donnell.  This I found more then amusing, those guys really suck at asking questions on their feet, my personal opinion.  But other then that, they were calling over anyone who looked even remotely important or had a bodyguard following them over to ask a few questions.  Well, the Backstreet Boys happened to be the last people that walked by.  And, naturally, being the nice guys that they are (or maybe it could have been the fact that THEY want this crap to end as much as I do), they called the Boys over to ask a few questions.  Didn't happen.  From what I saw on TV, Kevin kind of smiled, waved and shook his head with an expression on his face that said 'Hell no,' and just walked into the building.  Huh.  I believe Joey said something like, "Dissed again," but I'm not sure if those were his exact words.  Chris and JC were still trying to get them to talk to them, and Joey just gave up.  Which I don't blame him for.  Don't think I'm all of a sudden on 'N Sync's side.  'N Sync did some pretty damn stupid things in their careers, but I really can't mention them here because I was sworn to secrecy by someone on the 'N Side of 'N Sync.  (She knows who she is, and I'm NOT spreading rumors.)  Oh well.  I guess Dave Holmes said it best on TRL by saying, "Pick your side, people!"  Personally, I do not think I can pick.  They both have their differences and similarities.  Personally, I hope they can put their differences behind them for the sake of fans like me, who don't wanna hear that BSB hates 'N Sync or that 'N Sync hates BSB, because that makes ME feel bad because I like both, and I feel like I'm being disloyal to one of the groups.  In closing, I have to say (and you can quote me on this one), "Stop the battle already!"
