Dear All,

I was at the meeting held in the School. There were about 12 persons there. Various issues were discussed such as the constitution, Subscriptions, type of members, application forms, etc. (Please wait for the minutes of the meeting for full details).

There is no web site for the Alumni yet. However there is an email address :-

As for the web site, there is no plan at the moment to create one. I have suggested to use the present web site (created by Ricky) as another means to communicate for now.

As for the 100 years celebration, there is a suggestion that it should be held in April 2003. But the actually date should be finalise in the next meeting. In additional, we were requested to forward ideas for the celebration in the next meeting. As April is just a short time away, we really need to act fast.

We need more participation from ex ACS students and teachers. We really hope to see a lot more people there in the next meeting to bring forward suggestion, to volunteer and assist in the preparation leading up to the events. This event is not only the School's event or the Alumni committee's events This events is for you all too. Please make yourself available to help out and make this event a successful one. (This sort of event does not comes by every year !!!). Please get in touch with me if you think that you can help in any way possible.

One point that was brought up by the Deputy Chairman (Mr. Wong Lee Wah) is that there is no female participant in the meeting. This is very surprising, as there were a lot of girls (then) in the School. Where has all of them gone.? We hope to see some ladies attending and participating in organising of events.

Those that are overseas can forward their ideas to me. I will bring them up in the meeting.

The next meeting is schedule on the 12th Jan 2002. at about 10:30 am in the School. Please be there.

One last things, we need to spread the word around concerning the 100 years celebration and also on the forming of the Alumni Club. We need each and everyone of you to contact friends, brother, sister, cousins, etc who are an ex student of ACS Kampar, to inform them of :-

1 The forming of the Alumni ACS Kampar.
2. Register and get in contact with the Alumni for information. They can also contact me ([email protected]) on this. Registration form would be available soon. As for now, get register with this web site. (by Ricky)
