My name is Ahmed al-Faqi, and
I crashed into the earth at the Spanish town of San Sebastian, which is said to be the
most beautiful in the world by most of its naturals (same as in Kaliningrad,
for example).
My life is a sad one, devoted to
boring stuff as political theory, chess, linguistics, classical and
flamenco guitar and a lot of strange games such as the Japanese go. The main reason for
all those perversions has been, most likely, poverty.
As most of you know, reading (especially at public
libraries) is far cheaper than surfing or bungee-jumping or other funny
options. Anyway, I reached the age of 29 alive and with no shark-produced
scars on my body (something some others cannot say) and now I´ve got the
Internet as a means to infect the world with my hobbies and habits,
opinions and beliefs.
Between 1999 and 2003 I lived in the fair city of Dublin (I
would rather say "dirty old town"). I am quite interested in all things
Irish. I must say Northern Ireland politics, especially (and
unfortunately).
Travelling is another of my humble aims, I am one of the
thousands of people that was on top of the WTC on 10th SEP 2001, but not
next day. I´ve been to the five continents and I dream of a life which is
only reading and travelling (which I consider pretty the same
thing).
Before I left Spain I got my degree in Law. I studied at
the Basque Country University, which is not a good one. I also studied
music at conservatoire, I am not very talented for this either.
I've had all kind of jobs: opinion polls, waiter, chess
teacher, kitchen porter, telesales, computers technical support. My
current one is the one in which I am proficient: unemployed.
I am living in the city of The Hague for some
months, so you know where you've got a pint.

al-Faqi, mi intención sería que fuera aceptada como mi domicilio y que
Hacienda viniera a agarrarme aquí, si puede.
Mi
ocupación actual es ninguna, ya que engroso las listas de desempleados
españoles. Dentro de poco puede que me pase a la de los malpagados o a la
de los famélicos.
Moré por un breve período de cuatro años en la bucólica
isla de Irlanda. Como afán autojustificativo mantengo un interés constante
en todo lo que provenga de allá.
En la actualidad resido en la monumental ciudad de
Salamanca, en cuya Universidad, siete veces centenaria, estudio la carrera
de Ciencias Políticas. El resto del tiempo lo dedico a pasear y a admirar
a la mujer, como elemento esencial para la creación de un mundo mejor,
etcétera.
Cuando era joven me gustaba el ajedrez, pero ya no tanto. En
general me gusta cualquier juego complicado en el que se pueda obtener
placer mediante la humillación del rival, excepto unos que he visto
en internet con látigos y ropa de cuero, que no me van nada de nada.
En mi etapa de Irlanda fui esclavo de una línea aerea
(la sartén) y de la compañía HAL (las brasas). Parte de mi servidumbre fue
compensada con viajes por los cuatro puntos cardinales, los cinco
continentes y los siete mares. Aunque aún aborrezco de mis empleadores,
conservo la afición por el desplazamiento y suplo mi falta de ambición con
quilómetros y millas.
Este año habito, a ratos, en (La Haya de Holanda para profundizar en politología y otros aprendizajes de
la vida.
Mientras tanto este es mi paradero, prometo hacer de
esta página algo insulso, sin sexo, violencia, dinero ni nada de lo que
merece la pena en la vida. Supongo que no la añadirán a sus favoritos. |
