this movie is a bit infuriating. partly because it's supposed to be... with the way the government in thailand handles things (or rather doesn't handle them), and partly unintentionally because it leaves you a little unclear in the end as to whether the girls are actually guilty of what they are accused of. and if they aren't, when they were set up and who did it. you gotta love claire danes... i wanted to be on her side the whole time... maybe that's why  paul and i got into an argument afterwards where i defended her and he wanted so badly for her to be guilty.
