monday - june twelve, two thousand - 11:25am
well, i had the best friday, and the best weekend.... i'm not even sure where to start! first of all, the ironic part. my girlfriend from iowa had sent me one of those chain letters first thing friday morning... i really hate those things... and most everybody else knows not to send them to me, but she didn't know that yet. so, i sent it back to her and said i'd make a deal with her that i wasn't going to follow the instructions and send it to 10 people, and if i didn't die, she had to stop sending them too. well, i ended up having the luckiest couple of days after that that i've had in a long while. first, i won those concert tickes to lou reed that i told you about.... then, i found out that i have a little baby snail in my aquarium -(at least, i only saw one, but they're so tiny, i'm sure there's more that i just haven't spotted yet). then, paul showed me the coolest thing - it's called macster - and it allows you to download almost any song you can possibly think of FOR FREE! i never knew such a thing existed... and it's easy to use too! then, we had to stay after work for about an hour to finish something up - so our boss made reservations for paul and i to have dinner at this very nice, expensive restaurant in uptown and he paid for the whole thing!
then, on saturday, paul was filling up his gas tank, and the pump screwed up and paid for it with someone else's credit card number. although, we were honest about that because we were afraid some poor schmuck who was probably just there was going to get charged for it.... but the stupid ass gas station attendants didn't know what the fuck they were doing so we're pretty sure that they got paid double for it (either that or the attendant made $20 in cash - but at least we can sleep at night, right? it was still lucky - and next time we'll just go with it, i guess.
and last, but not least... this morning i won $100 in an office pool that i thought we had stopped doing - so that was completely unexpected. i can't wait to see what other lucky things are awaiting me!
well, i have to be running off now, so that i can finish all my work and spend the rest of the day downloading free music! Ta...
