The Solar System

The Sun is a G-type main-sequence star located in the Milky Way galaxy. It is 4.6 billion years old and is composed of 92.1% hydrogen and 7.8% helium. It is currently in the process of converting hydrogen to helium by nuclear fusion. The sun is located towards the edge of the galaxy. Moving at 220 kilometers per second, it takes approximately 240 million years to complete its rotation around the galaxy.
