耶 利 米 書 第九章

9:1    但 願 我 的 頭 為 水 、 我 的 眼 為 淚 的 泉 源 、 我 好 為 我 百 姓 〔 原 文 作 民 女 七 節 同 〕 中 被 殺 的 人 、 晝 夜 哭 泣 。
9:2    惟 願 我 在 曠 野 有 行 路 人 住 宿 之 處 、 使 我 可 以 離 開 我 的 民 出 去 ． 因 他 們 都 是 行 姦 淫 的 、 是 行 詭 詐 的 一 黨 。
9:3    他 們 彎 起 舌 頭 、 像 弓 一 樣 、 為 要 說 謊 話 ． 他 們 在 國 中 、 增 長 勢 力 、 不 是 為 行 誠 實 、 乃 是 惡 上 加 惡 、 並

不 認 識 我 ． 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。
9:4    你 們 各 人 當 謹 防 鄰 舍 、 不 可 信 靠 弟 兄 ． 因 為 弟 兄 盡 行 欺 騙 、 鄰 舍 都 往 來 讒 謗 人 。
9:5    他 們 各 人 欺 哄 鄰 舍 、 不 說 真 話 ． 他 們 教 舌 頭 學 習 說 謊 ． 勞 勞 碌 碌 的 作 孽 。
9:6    你 的 住 處 在 詭 詐 的 人 中 ． 他 們 因 行 詭 詐 不 肯 認 識 我 ． 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。
9:7    所 以 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 如 此 說 、 看 哪 、 我 要 將 他 們 融 化 熬 煉 ． 不 然 、 我 因 我 百 姓 的 罪 該 怎 樣 行 呢 。
9:8    他 們 的 舌 頭 是 毒 箭 、 說 話 詭 詐 ． 人 與 鄰 舍 口 說 和 平 話 、 心 卻 謀 害 他 。
9:9    耶 和 華 說 、 我 豈 不 因 這 些 事 討 他 們 的 罪 呢 ． 豈 不 報 復 這 樣 的 國 民 呢 。
9:10    我 要 為 山 嶺 哭 泣 悲 哀 、 為 曠 野 的 草 場 揚 聲 哀 號 、 因 為 都 已 乾 焦 、 甚 至 無 人 經 過 ． 人 也 聽 不 見 牲 畜 鳴 叫 ．

空 中 的 飛 鳥 、 和 地 上 的 野 獸 、 都 已 逃 去 。
9:11    我 必 使 耶 路 撒 冷 變 為 亂 堆 、 為 野 狗 的 住 處 ． 也 必 使 猶 大 的 城 邑 、 變 為 荒 場 、 無 人 居 住 。
9:12    誰 是 智 慧 人 、 可 以 明 白 這 事 ． 耶 和 華 的 口 向 誰 說 過 、 使 他 可 以 傳 說 ． 遍 地 為 何 滅 亡 乾 焦 好 像 曠 野 、 甚 至

無 人 經 過 呢 。
9:13    耶 和 華 說 、 因 為 這 百 姓 離 棄 我 在 他 們 面 前 所 設 立 的 律 法 、 沒 有 遵 行 、 也 沒 有 聽 從 我 的 話 ．
9:14    只 隨 從 自 己 頑 梗 的 心 行 事 、 照 他 們 列 祖 所 教 訓 的 、 隨 從 眾 巴 力 ．
9:15    所 以 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 以 色 列 的 　 神 如 此 說 、 看 哪 、 我 必 將 茵 蔯 給 這 百 姓 喫 、 又 將 苦 膽 水 給 他 們 喝 。
9:16    我 要 把 他 們 散 在 列 邦 中 、 就 是 他 們 和 他 們 列 祖 素 不 認 識 的 列 邦 ． 我 也 要 使 刀 劍 追 殺 他 們 、 直 到 將 他 們 滅 盡 。
9:17    萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 如 此 說 、 你 們 應 當 思 想 、 將 善 唱 哀 歌 的 婦 女 召 來 ． 又 打 發 人 召 善 哭 的 婦 女 來 。
9:18    叫 他 們 速 速 為 我 們 舉 哀 、 使 我 們 眼 淚 汪 汪 、 使 我 們 的 眼 皮 湧 出 水 來 。
9:19    因 為 聽 見 哀 聲 出 於 錫 安 、 說 、 我 們 怎 樣 敗 落 了 ． 我 們 大 大 的 慚 愧 、 我 們 撇 下 地 土 、 人 也 拆 毀 了 我 們 的 房 屋 。
9:20    婦 女 們 哪 、 你 們 當 聽 耶 和 華 的 話 、 領 受 他 口 中 的 言 語 ． 又 當 教 導 你 們 的 兒 女 舉 哀 、 各 人 教 導 鄰 舍 唱 哀 歌 。
9:21    因 為 死 亡 上 來 、 進 了 我 們 的 窗 戶 、 入 了 我 們 的 宮 殿 ． 要 從 外 邊 剪 除 孩 童 、 從 街 上 剪 除 少 年 人 。
9:22    你 當 說 、 耶 和 華 如 此 說 、 人 的 屍 首 必 倒 在 田 野 像 糞 土 、 又 像 收 割 的 人 遺 落 的 一 把 禾 稼 、 無 人 收 取 。
9:23    耶 和 華 如 此 說 、 智 慧 人 不 要 因 他 的 智 慧 誇 口 、 勇 士 不 要 因 他 的 勇 力 誇 口 、 財 主 不 要 因 他 的 財 物 誇 口 ．
9:24    誇 口 的 卻 因 他 有 聰 明 、 認 識 我 是 耶 和 華 、 又 知 道 我 喜 悅 在 世 上 施 行 慈 愛 公 平 和 公 義 、 以 此 誇 口 ． 這 是 耶 和

華 說 的 。
9:25    耶 和 華 說 、 看 哪 、 日 子 將 到 、 我 要 刑 罰 一 切 受 過 割 禮 、 心 卻 未 受 割 禮 的 ．
9:26    就 是 埃 及 、 猶 大 、 以 東 、 亞 捫 人 、 摩 押 人 、 和 一 切 住 在 曠 野 剃 周 圍 頭 髮 的 ． 因 為 列 國 人 都 沒 有 受 割 禮 、

以 色 列 人 心 中 、 也 沒 有 受 割 禮 。

Jeremiah Chapter 9

  1. I wish my head were a well of water, and my eyes a fountain of tears, so that I could cry day and night for my people who have been killed.

  2. I wish I had a place to stay in the desert where I could get away from my people. They are all unfaithful, a mob of traitors.

  3. They are always to tell lies; dishonestly instead of truth rules the land. The Lord says, "My people do one evil thing after another and do not acknowledge me as their God."

  4. Everyone must be on guard against his friend, and no one can trust his brother, for every brother is as deceitful as Jacob, and everyone slanders his friends.

  5. They all mislead their friends, and no one tells the truth; they have taught their tongues to lie and will not give up their sinning. They do one violent thing after another, and one deceitful act follows another.

  6. The Lord says that his people reject him,

  7. because of this the Lord Almighty says, "I will refine my people like metal and put them to the test. My people have done evil-- what else can I do with them?

  8. Their tongues are like deadly arrows; they always tell lies. Everyone speaks friendly words to his neighbour, but is really setting a trap for him.

  9. Will I not punish them for these things? Will I not take revenge on a nation like this? I, the Lord, have spoken."

  10. I said, "I will mourn for the mountains and weep for the pastures, because they have dried up, and no one travels through them. The sound of livestock is no longer heard; birds and wild animals have fled and gone."

  11. The Lord says, "I will make Jerusalem a pile of ruins, a place where jackals live; the cities of Judah will become a desert, a place where no one lives."

  12. I asked, "Lord, why is the land devastated and dry as a desert, so that no one travels through it? Who is wise enough to understand this? To whom have you explained it so that he can tell others?"

  13. The Lord answered, "This has happened because my people have abandoned the teaching that I gave them. They have not obeyed me or done what I told them.

  14. Instead, they have been stubborn and have worshiped the idols of Baal as their fathers taught them to do.

  15. So then, listen to what I, the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, will do: I will give my people bitter plants to eat and poison to drink.

  16. I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their ancestors have heard about, and I will send armies against them until I have completely destroyed them."

  17. The Lord Almighty said, "Think about what is happening! Call for the mourners to come, for the women who sing funeral songs."

  18. The people said, "Tell them to hurry and sing a funeral for us, until our eyes fill with tears, and our eyelids are wet from crying."

  19. Listen to the sound of crying in Zion; "We are ruined! We are completely disgraced! We must leave our land; our homes have been torn down."

  20. I said, "Listen to the Lord, you women, and pay attention to his words. Teach your daughters how to mourn, and your friends how to sing a funeral song.

  21. Death has come in through our windows and entered our palaces; it has cut down the children in the streets and the young men in the market places.

  22. Dead bodies are scattered everywhere, like piles of manure on the fields, like grain cut and left behind by the reapers, grain that no one gathers. This is what the Lord has told me to say."

  23. The Lord says, "Wise men should not boast of their wisdom, nor strong men of their strength, nor rich men of their wealth.

  24. If anyone wants to boast, he should boast that he knows and understands me, because my love is constant, and I do what is just and right. These are the things that please me. I, the Lord, have spoken."

  25. The Lord says, "The time is coming when I will punish the people of Egypt, Judah, Edom, Ammon, Moab, and the desert people, who have their hair cut short!

  26. All these people are circumcised, but have not kept the covenant it symbolizes. None of these people and none of the people of Israel have kept my covenant."

Verse 1 Chinese version has original text in bracket for people or citizen. 水 Water in Chinese resembles our head, with the hook like our nose, and > & < indicating looking inward for the eyes. I do know the meaning of 民 女 七 節 同'ming ne chi chia tong' for people, the 7 is to indicate the line 7 having the same correction. Woman is indirectly talking about Mt Zion as the Mark on our forehead.

Verse 2 Chinese version has sexual immorality in place of unfaithful. You know, Bible stresses on sexual immorality of human rather than on murder, tyranny etc. Revelation talks about Great Babylon, the Mother of all prostitutes and perverts in the world. It does not talk about the killing of opposition dissidents of government. Murder is not considered a serious crime in the eyes of God. Or else God would have killed Cairn for murdering Abel, the first murder in the Bible history. Bible mentions an eye for an eye, a leg for a leg, an arm for an arm etc. So those whose kins were killed, tortured, suffered under the men of Saddam Hussein can take revenge on him and his men. This is not for America or others to go into Iraq for his skin. America is committing a serious sin by putting death sentence on others. Likewise governments leaders are committing great sins by holding to death sentences for murders, drug peddlers etc. You leaders! You are the real bastards! Bible and Koran mention severe punishment for adultery, lewdness, sexual immorality etc. What we have in modern term, there is no punishment for adultery, sodomy, lesbianism, pornography, lewdness etc. So you are telling God to fly kite?

Verse 25 and 26 are mixed in English version to maintain sentences construction grammatically. However the meaning is different. Chinese has no "kept my covenant'. Verse 25 should be - The Lord says, "Look ah! The time is coming, I want to punish those who are circumcised, but in their hearts they are uncircumcised," Verse 26 - "they are Egypt, Judah, Edom, Ammon, Moab and those staying in the deserts, those that have short hair, because the gentiles are not circumcised; in the hearts of Israeli, also, they (Israelis) are not circumcised."

So, it is clear God is going to punish most circumcised people, whether Jews or Muslims or sex perverts. Most sex perverts are circumcised. Secular Jews and Muslims cut short their hair. Just look at Muslims in Malaysia, Indonesia, Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan, Jordan, Egypt etc.

Those highlighted were added or twisted in words in the English version. You don't find 'I said' in Chinese.

This chapter might refer to the total destruction of Jerusalem and Judea area. It is referring also to the gulf war and the implication for the whole middle-east because of Israel/Palestinian conflict. Refer also to the sign of Jesus coming in Matthew, Mark and Luke, the sign of the Awful Horror.
