Oxford University team of scientists:

Black sea-Bospherus-19 mile straights

The Black sea is over 1 mile deep.

Walter Pittman and Bill Ryan state it was known as the sea of death in antiquity.
Dr. David Ross from the Woods Hole Institute Mapped the sea bed of the Black sea. 9,000 years ago the Black sea turned from fresh water to salt water, why?
Petko Dimitrov from the Soviet Union found ancient beaches and definative scientific evidence of a sudden flood. (scene on the T.V show live video feed)
100m below the present sea level is the evidence of the flood.
There was an instant transformation of sea level. Petko descended and observed the evidence from a submersible and also from the shell evidence
i.e. Meditteranean shells on fresh water beaches.
Gilgamesh and Noahs flood are seen by these two men, "Pittman and Ryan" as records of this incredible catastrophe.

Dr Pavel calculated the sea entered the Bosphorus at a rate of at least 80 to 100 km per hour and that the waterfall would have been equal to about 1,000 Niagara falls.
Glen Jones Lab dating for all the core samples surveyed from the sea bottom gave an absolute uniform dating of 7,540 years ago for the flood. It is estimated it took about thirty years for the sea to rise about 100 to 140m. The flood rose at a rate of about 30 cm per day and about 1kilometer per day upstream on the plains. Archaeologists have given the report little support except Prof Douglas Baily from the National History Museum in Rumania.

This was a BBC third eye production.
