An Innocent Man
1989 movie
Written By Larry Brothers
Portions of "Innocent Man" were filmed at Shoreline Village in Long Beach, California.
Two crooked cops, Mike Parnell (David Rasche) and Danny Scalise (Richard Young), cross paths with an innocent man, Jimmie Rainwood (Tom Selleck). Crooked because they sell part of the drugs that they confiscate from people. Mike gets an address to make a drug bust from an informant, Stevie (Charle Landry). But Mike makes a mistake and gives a wrong address to Danny, and the two cops wind up at Jimmie's house. When Jimmie comes out of the shower with a hair dryer in his hands in a dark area, Mike shoots him. And bad things continue to happen to Jimmie.

David Rasche, from ABC-TV's Sledge Hammer, does well playing a crooked cop, especially when he tries to intimidate Kate Rainwood, Jimmie's wife (Laila Robins).

The great film tells the heartbreaking story very well.
