300th Anniversary of Quixote (1905)

When during 2005 we commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the publication of Quixote, this Cervantine Alcázar web has had the good luck to obtain a replica of the poster of the 300th Anniversary, where festivities in honour of Cervantes were planned in Alcázar de San Juan on May 14th and 15th 1905.

The document itself, which belongs to the Alcázar Historical Archive in the custody of the Local Culture Trust, who we thank for their authorization to display it, is an important evidence of the Cervantine Tradition in Alcázar.

This web would like to contribute, as has already been said, to the divulgation and analysis of the important research work carried out by distinguished Alcazarean men during the 20th century, intending that in the 21st one the new generations take an interest in the Alcázar Cervantine Tradition. We hope that, with the current preparation and resources, they reach the so longly searched goal.
