Bibliographic consideration

Since this web was born, we can assure that the signs of acceptation that we are received prove that we have started a way that we will not have to cover alone, by stimulating us to go on with the illusion with which we began it. Our desire would be advancing faster, but the difficulty to find the adequate path can delay us. Therefore we will try at least to walk firm and without pause.

The web wants to be a vehicle that contributes to the popularization of the researches made by distinguished Alcazarean men during the 20th Century, without ruling out other epochs. These studies can be classified in three groups:

• History and Customs of Alcázar.
• Biography of Miguel de Cervantes.
• Research about the characters, places and facts mentioned in the Quixote.

The main sources we use to go into details about the Cervantine themes are the following:

• "Alcázar De San Juan. Heart of La Mancha", 1983, edited by the Institute of La Mancha Research (High Council of Scientific Research of Spain). Author: Manuel Rubio Herguido.
• "People, Places and Things of La Mancha". Author: Rafael Mazuecos Pérez-Pastor.
• "La Mancha of Don Quixote", published in two volumes, 1991 and 1993. Author: Ángel Ligero Móstoles.

Those impatient of you who are interested in the works of these researchers can consult them in the Local Library of Alcázar de San Juan, as well as in the Spanish National Library in Madrid. We also use work by other authors such as Luis Astrana Marín, with this book in seven volumes "Exemplar and heroic life of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra", where the Cervantine Alcazarean theories are refuted. As well, Daniel Eisenberg, a researcher of Cervantes, has many appropriate works which show his deep knowledge about this topic, but in a nearer line to the official Cervantism.
