ALBUQUERQUE DISTRICT EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

The Executive Meeting is at First United Methodist Farmington

located at 808 North Monterey Avenue Saturday, January 28, 2006. Telephone # 505.327.0363. The church surround streets are Mojave (N.), Isleta (S), Butler (E), Monterey (W), Buena Vista runs through the middle. The big parking lot is on Buena Vista on the East Side where you are to enter at the back door. You may wish to access a map from Map Quest to facilitate locating the church. If that is a problem, give me a call.

Because of the distance for many of us, the Farmington UMW have offered housing in their homes for Friday night. Arrangements will be available at the church between 7 and 8 o’clock. Notify Helen Jo if other needs are requested. Car pooling is encouraged; let Helen Jo know if you plan to drive and the number of passengers you can take. HJ has space for three. Would you like me to arrange a visit to Navajo United Methodist Women’s Center, New Beginnings, for those able to drive up early in the day?

Please respond as soon as possible. Can you let me know your plans at the latest by January 10, please?

We will convene our meeting on Saturday at 9:00 AM with business and reports hopefully to be completed by noon. Lunch will be provided by the UMW at the church. We should be able to depart no later than 1:30 or 2:00 PM. Registration is not required, but notification of your attendance/absence is needed to the President at 299.9165 or by e-mail at [email protected]. Several cars are going from Albuquerque. We plan to leave about 10 AM on Friday to drive to Farmington. We plan to eat in Cuba, and then go out to the Navajo UM Center for a visit, eat dinner together. We go to the church to get housing from UMW members for the night.

We plan to meet just Saturday morning, hoping to finish before the lunch which Farmington UMW will provide. In an emergency, we could meet a bit longer after lunch. Just hope we don't need to do that. Will return Saturday afternoon.

Let us know if you can go with us, so we can make car pooling plans.

Hope you are doing well. Wish we ALL had some rain or snow to help the drought situation.
