This page is an approximation of the real problem. It's just the implementation of the Hohmann transfer orbit for two co-planar, circular orbits. The period is computed by the use of Kepler's Third Law.

The planetary positions were taken from Paul Schlyter's page about Planetary Positions. The conversion formulas between Year-Month-Day and Julian Day were taken from Claus T�ndering's Calendar FAQ.
