Man's Nature
by Alvin Benatovich - February 3, 1998
A drop of water
Can cloud the eye.
A raging torrent
Carves mountains high.
What diverse power
In natures realm
So Serene to that
Which can overwhelm.
Man by comparison
Is puny and weak
From natures anger
Safety must seek.
Yet still he struts
And plays the role,
Till natures fury
Takes awesome toll.
If historys lessons
Man could learn
The riches of the ages
He would earn.
But never before
And unlikely today,
Man searches blindly
To find his way.
