COUNTING SHEEP

Don't want to be alone tonight
Just with someone at home tonight
When I open my eyes to all that is hidden
In a day and age when nothing seems forbidden
I see humanity dissolve

So tell me how I should lay down to sleep
When I feel like all the world's in too deep
And is there something at all I can do?
Or do I shut my eyes and follow through?

I've seen the worst of all tonight
And I could not think of a far more wretched plight
And now I wish I had amnesia so that I'd forget
Those ghastly and inhuman mental pictures in my head
So I could lay down to bed

And tell me how I should lay down to sleep
