Around 7:30 in the evening we began to worry that our
fellow travelers had not returned. Our kind hosts at our lodging
tried to contact Dan the ATV man, When he returned our message we
found out that Heather had injured her knee. Later that evening we
met them at the Homer emergency room, where the x-rays revealed that Heather
had broken a bone in her knee! We spent the next morning visiting
various medical establishments in Homer, while Heather got further diagnosis
and outfitted with a brace that would allow her to travel. The hospitality
at the doctor's office while we were waiting was incredible - including
juice, treats, and even the offer to watch a video while we waited. |
