Scott, Cyril Meir b Oxton 27.09.1879 d 13.12.1970

Formed Frankfurt Group with Percy Grainger, Norman O’Neill, Roger Quilter and Balfour Gardiner. Many manuscripts lost in Germany during World War II. Mainly noted for Piano Concerto (British Music Festival 1915) and songs. A Cyril Scott Society was formed in 1962 but did not succeed in reviving much of his music.
