ne Drei for cello and
orchestra was written for the Liverpool Jewish community
and the Piano Quintet in G minor (1886) was commissioned by Andrew Kurtz, an
amateur pianist and local businessman who served on the LPS Committee. It was not completed until many years after Bruch left Liverpool.
