November 20th, 2004- A Very Lucky Day

Before Saturday, I had gotten
i.)40 Ike dollars at my bank.
ii.)Got a 1948-S nickel for my collection
iii.)Got a bag containing a silver quarter and 19 Wheat pennies. Three of those coins filled holes in my cardboard coin folders, and I was able to finish off my 2nd roll of duplicate wheats.
iv.)Was able to sell 10 of the Ike dollars for $15.

So I got up, was downstairs for a few hours and then Dad came downstairs and started heating up some leftover marinaded ham to make himself ham & eggs. Because there was ham cooking, I could make myself

A.) Ham and Monterrey Jack cheese on a toasted bagel. Now that was good!

Then, as I do every Saturday morning, I went with Dad to the grocery store in order to return the deposit soda bottles I had collected over the week. I made

B.) $8.50, which is higher than my norm of six or seven bucks for the week.

I also had $1.40 from Dad's beer bottles and 10c of my own change, and I used that to go to the Customer Service desk and ask if they had an old style $10 bill.

C.) They actually had one! (I like these.)

The mail came, and I got

D.) The thirty-eight bucks from something I had sold to Moe in the Where's George Collector's Forum. My cost for the items I sold him was $25.80, so I made a $12.20 profit.

Moe had even sent me a

E.) $10 star note.

When I went out on my bike to go to the post office to mail Moe's bills to him, I

F.)got four new Georges in change from a $5 when buying candy at a conveniece store that was on the way. (50c York peppermint patty for Mom) One of them was an "I" FRB bill.

G.) caught the 3:30 PM mailbox pickup literally just in time, as in 'I saw the Post Office worker emptying the mailboxes'.

H.)I also got my December FOG payment taken care of.

and I also had found

I.)six more deposit bottles, and while I was at the store cashing those in, I turned in 70 cents change to get another George to EMS.

J.)On my way out of the store, I was able to get rid of four stained/worn Ike dollars for face value.

K.) On the way back from the store, I found ahem, a certian type of literature.

L.) I was able to successfully smuggle said literature back into the house. :P

My dad has been doing some renovation work at my cousin's store, and they've found all sorts of old coins there. Last night, I had gotten a 1943 silver quarter and 19 wheat pennies. (got a 1925-D and a 1944-D for my coin folder) This time he came back from the store with M.)One more wheat penny and a jar containing what turned out to be N.)204 pennies! That is not all, believe it or not! When I checked my email that night, I disvoered that

O.)I had sold ten more Ike dollars for another $15! Yay! And, then this, to really top off my day: P.)Second Where's George FRB Bingo! The Bill Report
