Subject: MERCY - Islam and Christianity compared
MERCY:
ISLAM AND CHRISTIANITY COMPARED
The tragic shooting of Christian Aid charity worker Gayle Williams in Kabul is but the latest grisly specimen of Islam, the so-called religion of mercy and peace. The brave Taliban warriors of Muhammad - inspired by Allah and directed by the Qur'an - showed their devotion to their religion in no uncertain terms. Had the headlines been 'Muslim aid worker shot dead by Christians in Kilburn', the 'compassion' of the outraged prophets of political correctness would have resonated around the world in harmony with Muslim denunciation: "What an affront to the peace-loving Muslim community!" But, of course, had such an atrocity occurred, no true Christian would have dissented from such condemnation, since the New Testament utterly forbids persecution (despite the failed deeds of medieval Crusaders and others). That said, in the starkest possible contrast, the Kabul killing has the backing of the Qur'an. Violence against Jews and Christians is plainly taught there. Gayle's killers were true to form whatever so-called 'moderate' Muslims might say.
For those who wish to suppress such unpalatable facts, it remains true that for every 'nice' surah in the Qur'an there are a hundred 'nasty' ones. This is the reality behind Gayle Williams' martyrdom. Yet, on Monday's 'News at Ten', while the BBC had sufficient honesty to say that Gayle was murdered 'for being a Christian', the announcer failed to identify her kíllers as 'Muslims'. However, when the item about the Sony computer game was reported, all changed. We learned that a Qur'an-based lyric is to be removed from the game's background music for fear of 'offending Islamic sensitivities'. Since it was (falsely) claimed that the 'Qur'an is the word of God', an imam was heard to express Muslim objections to the new game. Had he been asked about the Kabul murder, he could not have denied that such violence has the blessing of his so-called noble book! What wicked injustice to respect Muslim sensitivities about a game yet fail to take Islam to task over a Qur'an-inspired Taliban atrocity!
Yet the situation will never change until the truth about Islam is widely exposed for what it really is. Neither should it be forgotten that the Hadith (traditions of the prophet) are even more vicious than the Qur'an. The example below serves to highlight the appalling position of women in Islam. It should be carefully considered, especially by those who refuse to question the true character of the Islamic religion, with which the world could well do without! In short, we need, not the dark prophet, but One who is alone the 'Light of the world', Jesus Christ. Until we embrace Him, the darkness can only deepen. May God have mercy upon us.

THE 'MERCY' OF MUHAMMAD, THE PROPHET OF ISLAM
A penitent adulteress punished:
A woman came to Muhammad and said, "I have committed adultery, so purify me." Muhammad told her, "Go away until you give birth to the child." After she gave birth, she returned with the child and said, "Here is the child I have given birth to." Muhammad answered, "Go away and nurse him until you wean him." When she had weaned him, she came to Muhammad with the child, who was holding a piece of bread in his hand. The woman said, "Allah's Apostle, here is he as I have weaned him and he eats food." Muhammad gave the child to one of the Muslims and then pronounced punishment. The woman was buried in a ditch up to her chest, and the people stoned her.

THE MERCY OF THE MESSIAH, THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
A penitent adulteress pardoned:
Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, "Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?" This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first." And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?" She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more." Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

AT AL-AZHAR UNIVERSITY, CAIRO, EGYPT
The Mark Gabriel Story
The Truth about Islam
Mark Gabriel was born and raised in Egypt in a fundamentalist Islamic family. By the age of twelve he had memorized the entire Qur'an. After graduating second in a class of 6,000 at Al-Azhar University in Cairo he became a professor of Islamic history at that university. He also served as the Imam of a mosque in Giza, where the pyramids are located.
Despite having become a highly-prestigious figure in the Islamic world, Mark one day dared to question the authenticity of the Qur'an. That evening he was kidnapped by the Egyptian secret police and thrown into prison where he was tortured unmercifully for days. Miraculously, just as he was about to be executed, Mark was delivered from the prison by a relative with political connections.
During the next year while unemployed and living with his parents, Mark met a Christian pharmacist who gave him a Bible. That Bible led him to Christ, and when he read the Sermon on the Mount, he decided to accept Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. When his father discovered he had become a Christian, he tried to kill him. Mark fled to South Africa where assassins were sent to kill him. He finally fled to the United States where he was granted religious asylum.
Today Mark is a Christian evangelist. He is also spreading the truth about Islam. As Mark puts it, "The history of Islam is a river of blood."

Gayle Williams was shot dead on a quiet tree-lined street in Kabul
She believed in living among the people she served, staying in a modest private house, shunning an armed escort in favour of using her own two feet. She made an easy target for the two gunmen who had been lying in wait for her. One of the men got off the motorcycle, walked up to Ms Williams and opened fire at close range. She was already dead by the time her killers had weaved their way through the crowd at Kart-e-Char, leaving her corpse in a pool of blood.
"The men on the motorcycle stopped in front of the lady. They took out a gun and shot her on the spot. Then they rode off," said Daolad Khan, who was working on a building site directly opposite the murder scene. Mohammed Gul, a shopkeeper, added: "They knew what they were doing, they knew she would be there. She was hit many times on the chest and the body, no one could have lived after such an attack."
Ms Williams had been in the country for two and a half years, working for a charity called Serve Afghanistan, which helps disabled children and adults to learn to live with their handicaps. A Taliban spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, declared that she had been executed "because she was working for an organisation which was preaching Christianity in Afghanistan". Converting from Islam to Christianity is a capital offence in Afghanistan but friends and colleagues of Ms Williams stressed that while the organisation she worked for was Christian in its beliefs, she was extremely careful not to try to convert Afghans.
